Wells Fargo and AmEx Enhance Rewards on Propel Credit Card
Wells Fargo and American Express today announced they will be launching a new Propel rewards credit card. The revamped version of the card offers triple rewards points for select purchases, along with no annual fee.
The Propel Card will now offer three points per $1 spent at restaurants, including fast food and coffee shops. Users can also earn three points per $1 spend on traveling and transit, such as airline tickets, hotels, ride shares, car rentals, cruises, taxis and fuel purchases. Finally, the card offers three points per $1 spent on popular streaming services, including Netflix, Hulu, Apple Music, Pandora, Sirius XM Radio and Spotify. All other transactions earn one point per $1.
There is no limit to the number of points a user can earn, and the points do not expire as long as the account is open. Propel cardholders will have access to special offers and pre-sale tickets through American Express.
The card offers a 30,000 point sign-up bonus for users who spend $3,000 in the first three months, equal to a $300 cash redemption value. Rewards can be used toward travel and other purchases, or converted to a dollar value to save, pay off credit card debt or make loan payments.
Applications for the Propel Card will be available online starting July 16, 2018.
