Visa ReadyLink Now Reloadable at Walmart

Visa ReadyLink users now have a new and convenient way to add funds to their accounts. Point-of-sale provider InComm announced last week that the company has integrated Visa ReadyLink technology into Walmart’s Rapid Reload network, allowing users to deposit funds to their reloadable cards at participating Walmart stores.

The Rapid Reload network already serves a variety of general purpose reloadable (GPR) cards, including the Walmart Money Card. Users can make cash deposits into their accounts, and the money is instantly available. There are also check and direct deposit options available through Walmart, but there is a delay in processing that takes the funds a few days to get into the account.

Visa ReadyLink users will have to pay a $3.74 reload fee to add funds to their accounts at Walmart, but this is the fastest way to get money into the account. Visa’s network serves more than 100 prepaid products, which will greatly expand the reach of Walmart’s Rapid Reload.

“With consumers increasingly adopting GPR cards, Visa is committed to providing simple and convenient reload solutions to offer innovative ways for consumers to shop and pay,” said Cecilia Frew, Head of U.S. Prepaid Products at Visa.
