Star Wars Rewards and Designs Hit Chase Disney Credit Cards
Chase is expanding its Disney Visa Card program to include Star Wars perks and new designs inspired by the movie franchise. Current Disney Visa cardholders may enjoy all of the new benefits for free, regardless of whether they choose to change their card design.
The new credit cards offer double-sided card designs featuring Yoda, Darth Vader, and R2-D2 with C-3PO
The new benefits include an “Imperial Meet n’ Greet” at Disneyland and Disney World locations, as well as 10% off select Star Wars purchases of $50 or more. The standard card rewards are still active as well, such as 1% rewards dollars for money spent on the card as well as discounts on dining and shopping at Disney resorts.
Disney bought Lucasfilm, the firm behind the Star Wars franchise, in 2012 for $4 billion. Since then, Disney has fully embraced its new brand, with Stormtroopers wearing Mickey Mouse hats in Disney World, and two completely new Star Wars parks in development. The expanded Chase credit card is yet another extension of this.
All Disney Visa Cards are equipped with chip and PIN technology for added security, and they offer a number of special bonuses at Disney theme parks. The cards do have a $49 annual fee.
