Staples Now Accepts Apple Pay on its Mobile Website
Staples now accepts Apple Pay on its mobile website.
Apple Pay is already being used in-store at Staples, but now customers will be able to use the service to pay when checking out on their Apple device. They can pay using Touch ID, so they will no longer need to fill out forms with their billing and shipping information.
“Staples’ customers demand seamless check-out when making purchases on the go, so they can get back to running their business,” said Faisal Masud, executive vice president, global e-commerce, Staples. “Apple Pay on Staples’ mobile web lets customers securely shop on their phone without having to open an app. We’ve been very pleased with the response to Apple Pay in our iPhone app and look forward to similar success with this new, seamless option on mobile web.”
When paying in-store, Staples customers can pay with Apple Pay using their Apple Watch or iPhone 6 and later. When shopping from their device on the mobile web, consumers can pay with these two devices as well as an iPad Pro, iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 and later. Apple Pay is also available via Safari on any Mac introduced after 2012 and running Mac OS Sierra.
