Punchh Restaurant Rewards Program Joins Apple Pay

Punchh, a restaurant rewards program that services 85 restaurant chains, including Moe’s Southwest Grill, Quiznos, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf,  El Pollo Loco, Smashburger, and Pieology, announced users can earn and redeem loyalty points using Apple Wallet.

When shoppers pay with Apple Pay, they will continue to earn the rewards and benefits offered by their debit and credit cards. It is also easy to add Punchh and other rewards cards to the Apple Wallet. When making a purchase, Apple Pay users will be prompted to add their restaurant’s loyalty program to their Apple Wallet. After it is added, customers will begin earning points and receiving special offers.

“Consumers expect rich, digital experiences when they engage with the brands they love, and that includes being able to pay with their iPhone,” said Shyam Rao, CEO at Punchh. “By offering Apple Pay with Punchh-powered restaurant loyalty programs, we are not just facilitating a faster, easier and more secure method of payment to the industry, but enabling restaurants to tailor their experience in a way that drives increased visits and sales.”

Not only does Punchh allow restaurants to offer special offers to their visitors, it also helps companies predict customer behavior so they can better target campaigns and track performance. Diners can provide feedback to restaurant chains by filling out surveys.

MOD Pizza and Smashburger will begin offering Apple Pay with Punchh rewards integration later this year.
