PokerStars Debit Card Launches in UK

Online poker players in the United Kingdom now have a new way to deposit and withdraw money from their web-based accounts. SafeCharge International Group has launched a new PokerStars-branded prepaid MasterCard, known as StarsCard, that players can use to manage the funds in their accounts.

Traditionally, players would have to send or withdraw money from their accounts through a series of steps on the online dashboard. Now, players can simply load money onto their card through bank transfers, debit card transfers or vouchers available at retail stores.

According to the company, “The StarsCard is integrated to PokerStars and can be used to deposit and cashout directly to and from a player’s PokerStars account.”

The StarsCard is supposed to be a more convenient way to deposit and withdraw money, with options not offered before on the online platform. It may only be available in the UK at this time, but PokerStars and SafeCharge International Group hope to release it in other countries over the next few months.

“StarsCard allows PokerStars customers to have a single point of deposit that combines all the convenience of existing options, but with additional features for cashing out, spending and sending money to friends and family. StarsCard can be used anywhere MasterCard is accepted,” the company said in a statement.
