Mobile rewards provider has joined forces with Discover to provide a prepaid loyalty card for shoppers in America. The Perk Plastik card allows users to earn “Perk Points,” which can be converted into money that users can apply to retail and online purchases.

The Perk Plastik card can be used anywhere Discover cards are accepted. Members can load money through the Perk mobile wallet app, available for Android and iOS devices.

The Perk program was launched a month ago, and has already received significant support from its users. The card gives people a chance to use their loyalty points quickly and easily, while still enjoying the convenience of a mobile wallet.

“With Perk Plastik, we provide our members with greater personal financial flexibility and versatility when it comes to redeeming their Perk Points,” said Ted Hastings, the CEO of Perk. “Providing options in the form of rewards we offer a competitive advantage over any rewards platform with a defined set of rewards in a catalog, this drives user engagement and entices new members to utilize our apps.”

Users may order their Perk Plastik cards through the latest version of the Perk Wallet app on their smartphones. The cards are linked to their Perk Points, and update in real-time. There are several ways to earn points on the card, all of which is outlined when you sign up for an account.
