PayPal One Touch Expands to 120 New Markets
PayPal One Touch is expanding to new territories, and is now available in a total of 143 markets around the world. Labeled as “one of the most rapidly adopted products PayPal has ever launched,” this feature was available in just 23 markets at the end of 2015.
In December 2015, PayPal reported that 10 million consumers had activated One Touch on their mobile devices, representing 6% of all PayPal accounts. That number is now up to 18 million, according to the latest data from PayPal. 20% of the current users opted-in within the past month.
With PayPal One Touch, users can log into their accounts one time to make multiple purchases through their smartphones and tablets. Rather than logging in for every purchase, users can stay logged into their PayPal accounts for up to six months. Any time they want to pay for a product with PayPal, they simply click on the One Touch icon to seamlessly move through payment processing.
Earlier this month, PayPal announced it now has a total of 179 million active accounts, with 6.6 million accounts added in the fourth quarter of 2015. The company contributes much of that growth to the widespread adoption of One Touch.
