New App Promises to Make Managing Finances Easier
Digital Insight and PSCU announced the release of a new credit card and bank account management program that allows consumers to access all of their accounts simultaneously via a single platform.
The Card Management Services for Digital Banking enables users to manage their accounts on web browsers or via an app on their smartphones or tablets. Customers will be able to cancel cards, report lost or stolen cards and temporarily suspend their card. Consumers can also view their transaction history in real time, which could help them identify and stop fraud early.
This system aims to help banks and credit card companies reduce the costs associated with fraud and call center inquiries, as well as giving consumers the power to manage their own financial affairs on their schedule.
One of the early adopters of this program, the State Department Federal Credit Union (SDFCU), reports positive customer reactions.
“We are always listening to our members and know that integration is a key component to providing the exceptional experience they want from SDFCU. By partnering with Digital Insight and PSCU, we were able put fraud fighting card controls in the palm of our member’s hands using one seamless user interface,” said Angel Baltimore, Director of eStrategy and Innovation, SDFCU. “Our members can now control when their cards can be used by turning them off and on, ultimately reducing fraudulent transactions over time. If by chance a card is compromised they can also report the card lost or stolen with the tap of a button.”
