Navy Federal Credit Union is introducing a new rewards credit card that focuses on everyday purchases. The Navy Federal More Rewards American Express® Card offers 3 points per $1 spent at gas stations and supermarkets, 2 points per $1 spent at restaurants, and 1 point per $1 spent on all other transactions.

There is no annual fee, foreign transaction fee or balance transfer fee on the card. The rewards never expire, and there is no limit to the number of points a cardholder can earn. The card is backed by smartchip technology, and has zero liability for unauthorized purchases.

Navy Federal members can apply for the card online, at a branch location, or by calling the 24 hour service line.

Matt Freeman, head of credit card products for the bank, said, “The timing for this launch was important. We’re ensuring our members have the opportunity to get the rich rewards this Card offers during the holiday shopping season.”

The rewards points can be used for digital downloads, gift cards, airline discounts, and various categories of merchandise in accordance with the rewards program terms. The current APR rates are between 10.65% and 18%, and ATM cash advances are free at Navy Federal ATMs.
