Mastercard Launches New Benefits for Small Business Cardholders

Mastercard Launches New Benefits for Small Business Cardholders

May 2, 2019         Written By John H. Oldshue

Mastercard has unveiled a new suite of offers for small business cardholders.

Several of these offers are available thanks to a new partnership with Intuit, the company that owns QuickBooks and TurboTax. Now, small business owners can receive a 40-50% savings on 12-month subscriptions to QuickBooks. This offer is only available to new customers who use their business Mastercard to pay for the subscription. Discounts are automatically applied, so there is “no need to worry about points redemption or piling up bonus points.”

With regards to TurboTax, cardholders can save up to $20 on their federal tax products. This includes TurboTax Self-Employed, which gives entrepreneurs access to live CPAs to assist with their tax preparation. Mastercard is also offering a receipt management service through Itemize Corp, making it easier for business owners to manage receipts for taxes.

Mastercard has enhanced their ID Theft Protection services, and now offer a 24/7 business assistant for small business cardholders. Business assistants provide a range of services, from arranging meetings with clients to finding reliable tech support for the business.

Business cardholders who charge their cell phone bills to their cards will receive complementary Mastercard Cellular Telephone Protection. This cell phone insurance covers cracked screens, lost/stolen phones, and other damages.

Finally, the new suite of benefits connects cardholders with the Mastercard Easy Savings program. This provides “automatic savings on every day expenses from travel to dining and business services.” Examples of Easy Savings offers include: 4% off hotel stays at select midscale hotels, 5% off vehicle maintenance, 5% off car rentals and 1% off fuel at over 19,000 gas stations nationwide.
