Mastercard Adds New Benefits for World and World Elite Credit Cards

Mastercard just added a number of new benefits to their World and World Elite credit cards. Starting today, cardholders can enjoy new discounts and rewards with Fandango, Lyft, Boxed, and Postmates.

World Elite cardholders can now earn a $10 credit after taking five Lyft rides within a month. This credit is applied to the next ride. With Boxed, World Elite members can earn 5% cash back to use toward future Boxed purchases.

The Fandango benefits are also reserved for World Elite cardholders. Members will earn double Fandango VIP+ points for each movie ticket purchase they make. The Postmates offer is available for World Mastercard and World Elite cards. Cardholders receive $5 off every order of $25 or more.

Starting July 1, World and World Elite cardholders will also receive enhanced ID theft protection. Those who sign up for Mastercard ID Theft Protection will have access to identity theft specialists 24 hours a day, as well as digital services to monitor their personal information.

Cardholders who pay their phone bills with their World or World Elite cards will be eligible for Mastercard Cellular Telephone Protection. This provides up to $800 in liability per claim. Claims may include lost or stolen phones, damaged screens, damaged phones, and more. Cardholders can receive up to $1,000 a year in claims.
