J.G. Wentworth Begins ‘Dog Days of Summer” Contest

July 24, 2017, Written By Natalie Rutledge

Today, J.G. Wentworth launched its “Dog Days of Summer” contest and sweepstakes for musically-inclined pets and their owners.

To enter the contest, which runs from July 24 through September 1, individuals must submit a video of their pets singing, dancing, or performing to the 877-CASH-NOW jingle. Then, they simply upload the recording at JGWentworth.com/DogDays, or post the video to their Instagram or Twitter accounts using the hashtags #JGWDogDaysofSummer and #Contest.

There are three phrases to the contest:

  1. At the end of the contest, a panel of judges will select the top 10 finalists, each of whom will earn a $100 PetSmart gift card. Videos will be based on creativity, quality, and humor. In addition to their own prize, finalists will also be able to select a charity, and J.G. Wentworth will make a $1,000 donation to that organization on behalf of the finalist.
  2. From September 8 through September 18, the public can vote for their favorite video among the 10 finalists. Anyone who votes will also have the chance to win a $500 Visa prepaid card.
  3. On September 22, the winner will be announced. That individual will win a $5,000 Visa prepaid card.

“The 877-CASH-NOW jingle has resonated among humans. We see great comments in social media about it and our customers are known to call us and sing it to us as well. Believe it or not, when our commercials come on, some dogs start howling along,” said John Owens, Chief Marketing Officer. “We are excited to provide a fun and interactive promotion to showcase the singing talents of man’s best friend, or those of any other pet.”

J.G. Wentworth offers a number of financing solutions, including mortgage lending and refinancing, prepaid cards, and personal loans.
