GasBuddy Launches Its First Gas Discount Card

Today, GasBuddy launched a new program to help drivers save money on fuel nationwide. Pay with GasBuddy is a free service that can save users up to $340 a year on gas.

Anyone with a checking account is eligible for the program. There are no sign up fees and there is no credit check. Users can create an account on or on the GasBuddy smartphone app. The program will ask for checking account information, and then GasBuddy will send a card in the mail. The card is tied to the checking account on file, and can be used like a debit or credit card at the pump.

Pay with GasBuddy works at every gas station in America that accepts payment cards. The first transaction will save $0.15 per gallon of fuel. Every transaction after that will get a discount of at least $0.05 per gallon.

To save even more money on fuel, users can search for the lowest price gas in their area using the GasBuddy app. The app will show the cost per gallon and the location of each gas station nearby. Within the GasBuddy wallet, drivers can see how much money they have saved on fuel over time.
