Discover Enters European Market through Deal with Russian Bank

Discover, the smallest of the four worldwide payment networks, has finally gained entry into the European credit card market with an agreement with a Russian Bank.

Yesterday, the largest credit card issuer in Russia, Russian Standard Bank, announced it will become the exclusive partner for issuance, promotion and acceptance of Discover cards in Russia.

Last year, the Russian Standard Bank began issuing Diners Club cards. Discover owns Diners Club International.
