J Crew Becomes MasterPass Partner

The clothing retailer J Crew recently announced that it will be joining the MasterPass program issued by MasterCard. This program promises a faster shopping experience by letting consumers check out with the touch of a button, whether at home, on the go or in a store.

With MasterPass, customers can save financial information in a secure account that they access when they shop. When it comes time to check out, users simply log into their accounts and select a payment to use. This streamlines the idea that PayPal has had in place for years, and it is transforming the way people shop in the modern world.

J.Crew is one of over 20,000 retailers in the United States, Canada, Australia and the UK that have signed up to be part of the MasterPass program.

“The world of online shopping is changing rapidly. Customers want ease and simplicity. MasterPass has paved the road to easy,” said Jenna Lyons, president and executive creative director for J Crew.

“We’ve all experienced the frustration of attempting to quickly input payment and shipping information when shopping online only to receive repeated error messages,” said Michael Cyr, group executive of U.S. customer delivery for MasterCard. “MasterPass eliminates this by providing shoppers with a faster, easier online checkout enhancing their shopping experience and leaving them more time to enjoy the things that matter most.”
