Citi has made some changes on two of its most popular credit cards: the Citi Rewards+℠ Card and the Citi Premier℠ Card. The changes are aimed to help Citi attract new customers.

The Citi Rewards+℠ Card increased the length of its 0% introductory APR from 12 months to 15 months. This applies to both balance transfers and purchases. All other features of the card remain the same, including the card’s rewards system which automatically rounds up the rewards to the nearest 10 points on every purchase.

The Citi Premier℠ Card enhanced its early-spend bonus. New cardholders now receive 60,000 bonus ThankYou® points if they spend at least $4,000 during the first three months of being a cardholder. Previously, that bonus was 50,000 points. The new bonus is redeemable for $750 in airfare on any airline at any time when booked through the ThankYou® Travel Center, or $600 in gift cards when redeemed at One additional change does not benefit new customers: Citi no longer waives the $95 annual fee for this card during the first year of card membership.
