Smartphone Offered with New Citi AT&T Credit Card

Today, Citi and AT&T announced a new co-branded credit card that provides cardholders a way to receive a new smartphone.

The AT&T Access More Card gives cardholders a link to a special website where they purchase a smartphone at full price. If they spend $2,000 in purchases during the first three months of opening the account and maintain phone service with AT&T, they will receive a statement credit–up to $650–for the smartphone.

In addition, the AT&T Access More Card comes with the ability to earn Citi ThankYou points for everyday purchases. Consumers will receive three ThankYou points for all purchases made at AT&T as well as on online travel and retail websites. Cardholders will receive one ThankYou point for all other purchase. If you make $10,000 of purchases during a year, you will receive a bonus of 10,000 ThankYou points.

These points can be redeemed for a variety of products including electronics and gift cards.

As with other cards, cardholders will also see their FICO credit score for free each month. The card comes with an annual fee of $95 and the APR ranges from 14.99% to 22.99% depending on your credit worthiness.

The $650 credit is healthy, but it should be pointed out it may not cover the full price of some of the most coveted smartphones.
