Chase Pay Debuts at Starbucks and Best Buy
Starting today, customers can use the Chase Pay app to make purchases at 7,500 participating Starbucks and 1,400 Best Buy locations in the United States.
The Chase Pay app is available for customers to download from the App Store and Google Play Store. To use, they simply sign in using the User ID and password with which they log-in to Chase.com. Customers will see their Chase Visa credit, debit and liquid cards already loaded onto the app.
For further security, users can turn on the Touch ID feature to make it safer and easier to pay for transactions.
The Chase Pay app allows users to:
- Pay with a mobile phone using QR codes at participating Best Buy and Starbucks stores.
- Reload their Starbucks card in the iPhone mobile app or online at Starbucks.com. This feature will be available in the Android app soon.
- Check Chase balances and available credit.
- View transactions from the past 90 days.
“Chase Pay is special because it’s the first digital payments solution that benefits both consumers and merchants,” said Jennifer Roberts, president of strategic alliances and loyalty solutions for Chase. “By focusing on merchant needs first – lower cost, zero fraud liability – we’ve got a real opportunity to break through the mobile payments noise.”
Chase Pay, which will be available at Walmart in 2017, will soon be launched at The Fresh Grocer, ShopRite, Phillips 66, Conoco and 76.
