Chase and Marriott Unveil New Travel Card with No Annual Fee

Marriott added another travel rewards credit card to its Bonvoy loyalty program: the Marriott Bonvoy Bold Card, powered by Chase.

The Marriott Bonvoy Bold Card comes with no annual fee, along with several ways to earn rewards. Cardholders earn:

  • 3X points for stays at participating Marriott Bonvoy hotels
  • 2X points for other travel purchases, including airfare and transit
  • 1X point for all other purchases

New cardholders can earn a sign-up bonus of 50,000 points after spending $2,000 on the card in the first three months. This offer is not available for current or previous cardholders who have had the Marriott Bonvoy Premier or Marriott Bonvoy Boundless credit cards.

According to the pricing terms for Marriott Bonvoy Bold, qualified applicants are categorized as Platinum or Signature. Platinum cardholders receive a credit limit of at least $2,000, while Signature cardholders have a minimum limit of $5,000.

Additional benefits for the Marriott Bonvoy Bold Card include trip delay reimbursement, no foreign transaction fees, purchase protection, and 15 elite night credits each year. Cardholders have access to all the services in the Chase mobile app, which includes the ability to lock and unlock the card. Like all other Chase cards, Bonvoy Bold is a contactless credit card with smartchip protection.
