Capital One Partners with OpenTable to Provide Exclusive Dining Offers

November 19, 2019         Written By Bill Hardekopf

Capital One has partnered with OpenTable to provide exclusive dining offers to some of the country’s top restaurants. Capital One credit cardholders can now secure hard-to-get reservations at over 300 restaurants in 15 U.S. cities.

OpenTable has tables reserved for Capital One cardholders during the busiest shifts of the week, allowing diners to experience unique dining experiences they may not have access to otherwise. The program is known as Premium Access, and is only available for Capital One users at this time. In January, OpenTable plans to expand the program to include VIP diners on the platform.

To book a table with Premium Access, Capital One cardholders can follow these steps:

  • Download the OpenTable mobile app. If you already have the app, make sure it is updated to the latest version.
  • Verify your Capital One card at https://www.OpenTable.com/CapitalOne. You may also use the “Verify Capital One Card” button at the bottom of the app screen.
  • After the card is verified, new time slots will show up with a Premium label next to them. Explore restaurants and make a reservation for two or four diners during the available dining times.

The initial rollout of Premium Access includes restaurants in Los Angeles, Seattle, Chicago, Washington D.C., San Francisco, New York City, New Orleans, and several other major cities in the United States.

Capital One cardholders will not have to use OpenTable Dining Points to book Premium reservations. In January, VIP diners will have Premium Access, but they will need to use points to reserve their tables.
