Capital One Now Offers TSA Precheck Credit
TSA Pre✓® or Global Entry allows travelers to bypass long security lines and get to their flight faster. Now, Capital One Venture cardholders will get a $100 statement credit when they pay their TSA Pre✓® or Global Entry fee with their Venture card.
Capital One may have decided to offer this benefit based on projections that TSA is expecting a 4% increase in air travel, which could lead to longer lines since 246 million people are expected to fly this summer.
Generally, TSA Pre✓® or Global Entry has only been available with credit cards that charge high annual fees. However, the Capital One Venture Rewards credit card charges a relatively small $95 annual fee, which is waived for the first year.
Other benefits of the card includes:
- Card members earn 50,000 miles when they spend $3,000 within the first three months, which equates to $500 in travel.
- Venture cardholders earn 2X miles per dollar spent.
Travelers also earn 10 miles per dollar when hotel stays are booked through hotels.com/venture.
