Capital One Adds JetBlue to Miles Transfer Program

Capital One Adds JetBlue to Miles Transfer Program

May 1, 2019         Written By Bill Hardekopf

Beginning today, Capital One cardholders can transfer miles to the JetBlue TrueBlue rewards program. This is the first domestic airline partnership for Capital One.

Capital One launched the Miles Transfer benefit program in December 2018, starting with 12 airline partners. The program has now expanded to 15 partners with the addition of JetBlue. Capital One says they “plan to continue to add more travel loyalty partners on an ongoing basis.”

Miles transfers are available for VentureOne, Venture, Spark Miles and Spark Miles Select cardholders. Standard redemption rates are 2:1, meaning that every 200 Venture Miles earned converts to 100 miles with the airline. However, through the month of May, cardholders will receive a 50% bonus with JetBlue (2:1.5 mile redemption rate).

Miles typically post to an account within three business days. Points must be transferred in 100 mile increments. After the bonus promotion, the transfer rate will return to 2:1 for JetBlue TrueBlue. Capital One says this is “one of multiple bonus promotions we plan to run this year,” so cardholders can look forward to additional offers in the future.

Venture cardholders currently earn 2 miles per $1 spent with their card, while VentureOne customers earn 1.25 miles per $1.
