Bank of America Launches the Air France KLM World Elite Mastercard

Bank of America has launched the first Air France-KLM co-branded credit card to be offered in North America. With the new Air France KLM World Elite Mastercard, users can earn rewards for flights with Air France, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and SkyTeam member airlines.

The card offers 3 miles per $1 spent with Air France, KLM and SkyTeam, as well as 1.5 miles per $1 on all other purchases. Cardholders can earn 25,000 bonus miles after making $1,000 in purchases in the first 90 days, plus 5,000 miles for every account anniversary, as long as there are $50 or more in purchases within the year.

There is an $89 annual fee that is applied to the first billing cycle for the card.

In addition to miles, cardholders can also earn Experience Points, the rewards currency for Air France-KLM’s Flying Blue Loyalty Program. New members can earn 60 Experience Points upon approval, plus 20 Experience Points for every account anniversary. An additional 40 Experience Points will be available each anniversary for users who spend at least $15,000 a year on their card.

There is no foreign transaction fee, and miles can be transferred to other Flying Blue member accounts. The APR ranges from 16.99% to 24.99%, depending on credit worthiness.
