‘American Express Unstaged’ Joined Fashion and Music

American Express partnered with Rebecca Minkoff and Janelle Monae to hold a special live event last Friday that combined fashion with music. Hosted by Kelly Osbourne, the event was called “American Express Unstaged“, and featured a behind the scenes look at the fashion world.

American Express Unstaged was an extension of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York. It introduced Minkoff’s newest line for 2014. Monae created the music for the event.

“We [were] thrilled to partner with an innovative brand like Rebecca Minkoff to create a truly memorable moment for our Card Members and Rebecca Minkoff and Fashion fans everywhere,” said Deborah Curtis, vice president of Entertainment Marketing and Sponsorships at American Express. “Together, we [brought] the excitement of the Mercedes-Benz-Fashion Week runway directly to our fans alongside an incredible musical performance for a truly a once in a lifetime experience.”

The event was streamed live on Friday and included some digital innovations to enhance the viewers’ experience.

American Express cardholders could connect their cards with Twitter and Facebook to receive a $25 statement credit at RebeccaMinkoff.com.
