American Express Launches New Dining Offers after Resy Acquisition
American Express has officially acquired the restaurant reservation app, Resy. The brands will now work together to provide new experiences for Resy users, as well as new dining offers for AmEx cardholders.
From August 15 through September 30, 2019, eligible cardholders can earn 500 Membership Rewards when booking through the Resy app. This offer is available for up to three reservations, and the dining experience must take place during the offer period.
Beginning August 19, AmEx cardmembers will have early access to Resy’s Off the Menu Week in New York City. Capital One had a similar offer earlier this year which ended in July.
American Express members will also have early access to upcoming events for the fall, such as The Women Of Food (located in London) and Resy Presents Secret Special with Danny Bowien & Friends. Tickets will be available to AmEx cardholders 48 hours before they sell to the general public.
The bonus points will not post to the account until the end of November or early December, 8-12 weeks after the promotion period ends. Cancelled reservations will not be eligible for rewards. Cardholders must have an active Membership Rewards account to qualify. Corporate cards are not included in the promotion.
