Chase Freedom Credit Card Doubles Sign-Up Bonus
Chase Freedom is one of the better cash back credit cards on the market. It just got even better.
On Monday, Chase announced that it is increasing its signup bonus from $100 to $200 for any new cardholder who spends $500 during the first three months of card membership. This offer is good for a limited, and unspecified, amount of time.
The card continues to pay 1% back on all purchases, but also offers 5% back on the first $1,500 of quarterly expenditures in certain categories.
During the fourth quarter of 2013, cardholders can earn 5% back on purchases on Amazon.com and selected department stores. In the first quarter of 2014, the 5% cash back offer will be on purchases at gas stations, Starbucks and movie theaters. Consumers have to activate this 5% cash back offer by visiting a Chase branch, the Chase website, or by calling or texting Chase.
The Chase Freedom card also offers a 0% APR for 15 months on both purchases and balance transfers.
