ROCHESTER MN/USA - JANUARY 19 2015: Shopko retail store and sign. Shopko is a chain of retail stores in the American midwest.

Shopko has officially launched its first-ever private credit card program. The Shopko Credit Card can be used at any of the 375 Shopko stores throughout the United States, and provides special discounts and gift rewards that aren’t available elsewhere.

Shopko sells clothing, furniture, toys, beauty supplies, jewelry, and a wide range of other products. Shoppers who have a Shopko Credit Card can get 10% off their first purchase of regular, sale and clearance-priced merchandise before tax at Shopko, Shopko Hometown and Shopko ExpressRX. This discount can be combined with other discounts or coupons, but it is not valid on select merchandise, such as gift cards, contact lenses and tobacco.

In addition to the discount, shoppers will earn one rewards point for every $1 spent on the card. 200 points is equal to a $10 Shopko Gift Card. There are no monthly or annual fees with the card, and no limit or expiration date for the points earned.

The new card is issued by First Bankcard, a division of the First National Bank of Omaha. First Bankcard also issues the Shopko Visa Card, which can be used outside of Shopko anywhere Visa is accepted. That card has no annual fee, and users earn three points per $1 spent at Shopko, and one point per $1 spent elsewhere.
