Our Opinion: Created for those with very good credit who want a cash reward card. 5% Cashback Bonus® in categories like travel, gas, restaurants, home, apparel, and movies (categories rotate every 3 months). Purchases that are part of your first $3,000 earn .25%, earn a full 1% unlimited Cashback Bonus® on all other purchases after your total annual purchases exceed $3,000. Redeem in $50 increments; no limit for amount earned. Double your Cashback Bonus® when you redeem points with partners such as AMC Theaters, Borders Books and Music, Pier 1, Gap and Red Lobster. Our Opinion: Created for Costco members who have average credit and will take advantage of the cash back reward program. Cash rebate varies by where you make the purchase: 1% is earned on general purchases, 2% is earned for travel-related purchases. 3% is earned for restaurant purchases. 3% is earned for gasoline purchases up to $3,000, 1% thereafter. Earn unlimited rebates. Benefits include purchase protection, travel accident insurance, and auto rental insurance. This card has an above average interest rate for purchases and balance transfers. No annual fee with a paid Costco membership. This card will benefit those who plan to spend at least $5,000 a year on the card and plan to pay in full each month.

Our Opinion: Rewards cardholders for staying within their credit limit and paying on time. If you stay within your credit limit and pay on time, you will receive 100 bonus points per billing period and a possible reduction in your interest rates. Rate reductions occur at a rate of .25% after three months in a row of staying within the limit and paying on time. You could receive up to 8 reductions, for a 2% total reduction. Get 5,000 bonus points when you sign up for paperless statements within the first three months of opening the account. Receive 6,000 bonus points when they make their first $50 in purchases within the first three months. Receive 5 points per $1 spent at movie theaters, restaurants, book stores, and video rental stores. Receive $1 spent on all other purchases. Points can be redeemed through the Thank You network for cash, gift cards, electronics, music, and more. This card is a good choice if you pay off your balance each month.
