MasterCard is introducing a new credit card in Singapore that will contain a built-in LCD display and a keyboard.
MasterCard is partnering with Standard Chartered Bank for this Singapore introduction, scheduled for January 2013. The card is manufactured by NagraID Security.
While functioning as a traditional credit card, the MasterCard Display Card will allow customers to use these unique features to create one-time passwords when they wish to purchase items online.
Customers can use the card for online banking as well as to check their reward points and past transactions.
In September 2011, Visa Europe introduced a credit card with similar features called the CodeSure MatrixDisplay Card.
