JustGive, a nonprofit for online giving, has partnered with MineralTree to automate an estimated 61,000 charity payments each year. This will save JustGive nearly $75,000 annually, and will get funds to the charities faster.

Donors can easily make charitable donations online with their credit cards using JustGive. Until recently, the non-profit organization was distributing funds to charities by printing and mailing checks. Its 11 employees were processing between 6,000 and 15,000 checks each month.

“We had two temporary employees dedicated to printing checks and three temporary employees stuffing and mailing envelopes. The entire process would take about three weeks before it would start again,” said Julia Hughes, Product Manager at JustGive.

MineralTree’s web-based service allows JustGive to upload payment information and automatically print checks, which will then be directly mailed to individual nonprofits.

“Not only are we saving money—eliminated thousands of dollars on temporary workers, printers, ink, paper and more—but we’re also freeing up valuable time for our staff,” said Director of Programs Andrea Lloyd.
