Online craft and vintage item retailer Etsy will now support Apple Pay for the web. Shoppers using Safari web browsers on their Mac computers can checkout with Apple Pay without the need to enter shipping and additional payment information.

The Etsy iOS app already has uses the mobile version of Apple Pay, but this will be the first time it has been integrated into the website. It is available for Etsy users in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Hong Kong, Australia, Singapore, and Switzerland.

To use the new payment option on Etsy’s website, buyers can select Apple Pay at checkout and authorize the payment using Touch ID on their computers or mobile devices. All of the transactions are encrypted for enhanced security.

Etsy sellers can choose which types of payments they want to accept, so the Apple Pay function may not be available for all products. Other payment options include credit cards, debit cards, PayPal, and Etsy gift cards.

The online version of Apple Pay has only been available for a couple months, but many retailers have already been adopting it for their websites. Apple Pay is the fifth most popular payment platform for the top 10,000 sites on the Internet, surpassing competitors like Amazon Payments and Klarna.
