CareCredit unveiled the CareCredit Direct digital experience, which allows patients to apply for healthcare financing at their doctor’s office.

CareCredit Direct, a private and secure system, is free for any healthcare provider that accepts CareCredit and can be downloaded to a patient’s computer or tablet. The patient will receive a credit decision immediately and, if approved, can use their CareCredit card to pay for their services on the same day.

The interface provides comprehensive financing information in clear terms and a payment calculator, which allows patients to calculate their monthly payments using various promotional financing options.

“The next generation of the patient financing experience is here to serve the more than 12,000 consumers who apply for a CareCredit card nearly every day.” said Dave Fasoli, CEO of CareCredit. “This dynamic new tool exemplifies our ongoing commitment to supporting healthcare providers with resources that enhance the experience for their patients and clients. It also provides immediate access to the care they recommend by helping more patients fit care into their budget.”

CareCredit announced earlier this year it would be accepted at Rite Aid stores. The CareCredit card is provided through Synchrony Financial.
